An enquiry or investigation into your tax affairs is one of the most stressful events that can occur; some say it is on a par with moving house. In our experience the Inspector of Taxes is trained to extract the maximum amount of unpaid tax and penalties from any investigation that can be initiated over the simplest matters.

CFS can assist in managing an enquiry to ensure that the anxiety to yourself is minimised, we will provide immediate assurance as to what the Inspector is really looking for, we will also manage the investigation process to minimise the disruption to yourself and negotiate the most beneficial settlement with the Inspector if that becomes necessary. In most cases we ensure that the Inspector is sent packing without any additional tax being due.
